In the brief selection for today’s first reading, God reminds Job who is in charge. Earlier in the book, Job expressed his frustration at being afflicted by so many ills, even though he had followed God wholeheartedly. Sometimes, we feel our lives are similar to Job’s. It is easy to blame God when something goes contrary to our plans. During those times, it is important to remind ourselves that He is in charge, and he knows what is best. This is more productive than having to make God remind us of this fact!
