November 7, 2020Whether our preferred candidates won or lost this past week, at least the elections are behind us. It is time to focus, once again, on what really matters: eternal life. These final few Sundays of the Church’s year serve as a bridge into the Advent season.
Today, the readings emphasize the wisdom of preparing for Jesus’ coming. While we may blame others for the election results, we have no one to blame but ourselves if we’re not ready for Jesus when he returns.
