Meetings: 1st & 4th Tuesday
7:00 p.m. at OLV in St. Peter Conference Room (by parish office)
The Knights were formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works. The Order has helped families obtain economic security and stability through its life insurance, annuity and long-term care programs, and has contributed time and energy worldwide to service in communities. Moreover, in the Knights of Columbus, we approach these acts of charity together. Pope Benedict XVI called this the “practice of love...as a community.”
Our charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects. From international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and Habitat for Humanity to our Annual College Scholarship program, supporting Our Lady of the Valley ministries and our own local charities, the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless.
Before the Supreme Court ruled against Roe vs Wade, The Knights of Columbus further strengthened its support for pregnancy resource centers and maternity homes through Aid and Support After Pregnancy (ASAP) , a new pro-life initiative announced earlier this month. That’s after the Ultra Sound Project helped over 1,ooo pregnancy centers. For more information, go to www.kofc.org.
If you’d like to be a part of an international organization of more than 1.8 million Catholic men whose principal work involves helping others in need, we'd like to meet you and invite you to join us. Any Catholic man who is 18 or older and actively practicing the faith can join by going to www.kofc.org or by asking any Knight after Mass. Feel free to call/text Jeff Allen, at 208-602-4600.
Join us as the Knights lead the Rosary in the chapel every Sunday morning before the 9:00am Mass. All are welcome!
