We have many aids to help grow in the spiritual life. There devotionals, prayers, retreats, videos and books, to name a few. One of the most powerful aids to strengthen our faith should already be in our homes– the crucifix. Reflecting on the crucified body of Jesus on the cross reinforces St. Paul’s words in today’s second reading, “God proves his love for us…Christ died for us. 
   As our Lenten journey continues, may we continue our practices and penances with renewed vigor, so that we may become more like him who “proved his love for us.”
