One of the great aspects of our faith is that we do not have to do it by ourselves. As Paul reminds the Romans in today’s  second reading, we have the Holy Spirit to help us, even when we’re not aware that we need help! God so desires that we have success that he is constantly showering us with graces and blessing. The Holy Spirit, our guardian angel and all the Saints are interceding for us. It is really quite amazing. Imagine how we would end up if we truly had to do by ourselves.
   Pope Leo XIII once said, “No one is so rich that he does not need another’s help.” May we truly be poor in spirit so as to take full advantage of the help God offers us.
