The Book of Deuteronomy is Moses’ last will and testament to the Israelites. He has been their leader for the past forty years. He knows that he will not enter into the promised land with them. In his heart, he knows that they will probably mess up what God is giving them. This is his last chance to get his point across. To make his case, Moses keeps it simple. His words to the Israelites are applicable to us 3,200 years later: You know what you are supposed to do, now do it!
