The days of Advent are drawing to a close; the celebration of our Lord’s birth is near. With all of the anticipation for Christmas, and uncertainty of COVID, the first reading gives us reassurance and hope. David has the great idea to build a house for God. For his part, God says, “did I tell you I wanted one?” Then the Lord continues to enumerate all of the times He acted on his own. Ten times the Lord uses the pronoun, “I”. With all we are going through, God is always with us, even when we are unaware. In these final few days before Christmas, may we take a few moments to become more aware of God’s presence in our lives. Merry Christmas!
