Today’s celebration of Epiphany is truly our celebration as members of the Body of Christ. St. Paul writes to the Ephesians in the second reading, “the Gentiles are coheirs…” (that’s us!) Truly, the faith entrusted by Jesus to the apostles was meant to be “catholic” (universal). The Magi represent that all who come in faith are welcome. (This would have been “good news” to Paul’s communities.) As we come in faith to worship, may we be mindful of the blessings bestowed on us. Hopefully, that gratitude will lead us to draw others to Christ by our good example.
