My beloved brothers and sisters, there are many changes happening in our parish, and I want to thank you for your understanding and help in implementing them. There were some items I needed to address immediately especially regarding the youth.  My mission with the youth is for them to develop a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. This mission to help the youth has had a great impact in my ministry.  When I began the     ministry entrusted to me as a priest, I never thought I would be working for the youth. I wanted to keep them at a distance mostly because I did not know how to relate with them. But as years progressed, inadequate as I felt working with them, the Lord led me to realize the importance of helping them in their journey of faith. To begin working with them as a priest was itself a step of faith.  Now at times I still struggle in relating to them due to my “quiet personality”, but I am reminded in faith to do what I can to welcome, accompany, and form them in our church.  The readings remind us today to walk with faith.  This is a time of faith.  I will continue to walk in faith with all of you, not only the youth.  I take very seriously the responsibility the Lord has given me to tend the “little flock” he has entrusted to me for the time being.  Please join me in this journey of faith as a flock of God because He can lead us to a much better place than we ever imagined.  A place where the faith of the youth and their families is strengthened.
