In today's second reading, Paul sends his best wishes to the Thessalonians (for the second time!). He reminds them "not to be shaken out of your minds” by goofy teachings from people claiming to have special knowledge. 1,970 years later, the problem still exists. There are people who contend that the old way is better. As the saying goes, “Be careful which horse you hitch your wagon.”
The purpose of our worship is not to draw attention to ourselves. As Paul writes, it is so “that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you.
