This weekend we celebrate the solemnity of All Saints. It is one of the few feast days that takes precedence over the regular Sunday celebration. Originally begun to honor all the martyrs, it was expanded after the end of the persecutions to honor all men and women who were great examples of our faith. It is important to remember that the Saints we honor were not perfect. They had their imperfections just like us; some more than others! Regardless of their limitations, they kept trying. That, too, is within our capabilities. If they made it, so can we.
