When we think of Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we often have an idyllic picture in our minds. It is easy to  forget that they were: poor, displaced due persecution, immigrants, hard working, and had no indoor plumbing!
   They are, in fact, a model for us. Their life was for from perfect. Even though their holiness was far beyond ours, their great example for us is that individually, and collectively, they sought and implemented the will of God in their lives. If we are able to associate with the Holy Family in their struggles, may we also associate with them in their fidelity to God.
