Minister to Incarcerated Youth
The Catholic Volunteer Coordinator is looking for men and women to minister to teenagers who are incarcerated in the Juvenile Correction Center, Nampa. No experience needed, just an open compassionate heart. They need volunteers to lead or help with communion services and are desperately in need of women to minister to young girls, sometimes to share your faith, sometimes just to talk or organize a bible study or give instructions for baptism, First Communion and/or Confirmation.
Potential volunteers must be able to clear a background check and attend mandatory training conducted by Faith Based Recourse Coordinators at the JCC facility and occasional training with the Dioceses Office of Prison Ministries.
For information, please contact Ed Burnett, Catholic Volunteer Coordinator for JCC, Nampa at (208) 371-8441 or by e-mail at edbrntt@hotmail.com. You may also contact Doug Segali, Faith Base Resource Coordinator of Juvenile Corrections Center Nampa at dougs@3oaksministires.org for information.
